Wondering how the federal tax reform will impact your township’s withholdings for employees? The federal Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is working to develop withholding guidance to implement the reform bill signed into law on Dec. 22, 2017. Initial withholding guidance is expected to be issued this month, and employers will be encouraged to implement the changes in February. The information will be designed to work with the existing Forms W-4 that employees have already filed.
